Power Up (Nut Butter) Smoothie

Choose your preferred nut butter, combine with apple juice, apple sauce and Yoplait ParfaitPro Reduced Sugar yogurt and you easily create something everyone will enjoy!

Peanut butter, creamy

Apple juice, unsweetened, chilled

Applesauce, unsweetened, chilled

  1. Combine yogurt and peanut butter in an 8-quart or larger measurement-marked food storage container; stir until well mixed.
  2. Add apple juice and stir until combined; add applesauce, 2 cups at a time, stirring until smooth.
  3. Verify mixture yields just over 4 quarts (16 1/2 cups) so each serving contains 1/2 cup fruit; add applesauce as needed to yield 16 1/2 total cups and stir.
  4. Portion just over 8 oz into 9 oz serving cups; place lids on cups and serve chilled or refrigerate overnight if desired.

  • Fill 1 serving cup with 8 oz of smoothie; use as a visual guide to fill remaining cups.
  • For crediting in USDA Child Nutrition Programs, 1 serving (8 oz smoothie) = 1 MA and 1/2 cup Fruit
  • Substitute sunflower seed or soy nut butter if desired. Note nutrition information may change.
