Cranberry Pear Smoothies

Combine canned pear and dried cranberries -- or other dried fruits -- in a yummy yogurt smoothie.

Diced pears, canned, drained, chilled

Dried cranberries

  1. Place chilled pears and cranberries in large capacity blender (or prepare in batches).
  2. Blend on high speed 1 minute; stop blender and stir with spatula.
  3. Continue to blend until smooth.
  4. Measure to verify that pureeing has resulted in 8 cups of fruit (for nutrition requirements if needed); puree additional fruit if necessary.
  5. Whisk fruit puree and yogurt together in large container until smooth.
  6. Portion into serving cups and cover; serve chilled immediately or refrigerate overnight.

  • Serve this for winter holiday and garnish with slice of kiwi fruit if desired.
