Prep
  1. Thaw biscuit pucks, covered, either at room temperature 15-30 minutes until flexible or refrigerated overnight.
Assembly
  1. Cut thawed biscuits in half crosswise.
  2. Add rice flour to a medium bowl.
  3. Dust each biscuit piece into the flour, then stretch or roll to make a 2x1-inch strip.
  4. Line up 3 asparagus spears; starting 1 inch from bottom, wrap biscuit strip around, pressing to adhere.
  5. Wrap 1 halved slice of raw bacon around the bundle, leaving some of the biscuit uncovered; secure bacon with toothpick.
  6. Fry each bundle in oil preheated to 350°F approx. 2-4 minutes or until asparagus is tender, biscuit is cooked through and bacon is golden brown.
Finishing
  1. Serve as shared portions for 3 using 2 Tbsp garlic aioli spread on serving plate.
  2. Top with 3 asparagus bundles and 1 Tbsp of Parmesan cheese; serve immediately.

  • Choose thicker asparagus spears for ease of handling.
