Whole Grain-Rich Mini Pizza

Whole-grain biscuits become the tasty base for tempting mini pizzas topped with fresh bell peppers, turkey sausage and mozzarella.

Mozzarella cheese, low fat, shredded

Sauce
  1. Combine all sauce ingredients in a large mixing bowl; cover and refrigerate until assembly.
Crust
  1. Cover and thaw biscuit dough on parchment-lined sheet pan for at least 3 hours under refrigeration.
  2. Cut biscuit into 3 equal parts; roll on flour-dusted bench to 1/8-inch thickness round using a flour dusted rolling pin.
  3. Place on parchment-lined sheet pan; prick small holes on the entire surface of the pizza crust with a fork.
  4. Bake as directed below and allow crusts to cool before assembly.

Assembly
  1. Place cooled crust on a small parchment-lined pan; spread approx. 1 Tbsp sauce on crust, within 1/4-inch from edge.
  2. Top with 1 Tbsp cheese, 1 1/2 tsp green pepper and 1 tsp sausage.
  3. Bake as directed below; garnish with 1 1/2 tsp fresh tomatoes and serve.
