White Bean Macadamia Nut Blondies

Bake a moist bar when you add white beans to the Gold Medal™ White Cake Mix, along with the usual bar ingredients -- eggs, butter and sugar. Buttery-rich macadamia nuts add a gentle crunch.

White beans, canned, drained

Macadamia nuts, chopped, toasted

  1. Cream butter and brown sugar in mixer bowl with paddle attachment on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  2. Stop mixer, scrape bowl and paddle. Mix on low speed an additional 1 minute.
  3. Add eggs slowly while mixing on low speed for 1 minute. Stop mixer, scrape bowl and paddle.
  4. Add cake mix. Mix 2 minutes on low speed or until well combined. DO NOT OVERMIX.
  5. Add beans and nuts. Mix on medium speed for 1 minute, then scrape bowl and paddle.
  6. Mix on low speed for an additional 1 minute.
  7. Deposit dough evenly into greased or parchment-lined full sheet pan fitted with pan extenders.
