Whiskey Apple Spice Cakes with Caramel Drizzle

A cinnamon-scented loaf cake made with Gold Medal™ Variety Muffin Mix and spiked apple spirits is topped with gooey caramel sauce.

Cinnamon, ground

Caramel topping

  1. Add water and whiskey to bowl of mixer fitted with paddle attachment.
  2. Add mix and cinnamon; mix on low speed 30 seconds. Stop mixer, scrape bowl and paddle.
  3. Deposit 1 lb 7 oz batter into each of 5, greased 9 x 4 1/2 x 2 3/4-inch loaf pans.
  4. Bake and allow to cool in pans for 30 minutes before turning out onto a cooling rack. Drizzle approx. 2.5 oz caramel onto each cooled cake just prior to serving.
