Walnut Muffins

Toasting walnuts brings out their distinctive flavor and adds to the crunch in a fabulous nut-lover's muffin.

Water, cool approx. 72°F

Caramel coloring
1/2 tsp
Toasted Walnuts
  1. Toast walnut pieces in 350°F oven for 5-7 minutes or until light brown; set aside to cool.
Batter
  1. Combine water and caramel coloring in large mixing bowl; add muffin mix and stir until batter is smooth.
  2. Fold in toasted walnuts; deposit #10 scoop of batter into greased or paper-lined muffin pans.
  3. Bake as directed below and allow to cool before serving.
