Sugar Kissed Thumbprint Cookies

Dip cookie dough in sugar, then press an indent that's the perfect size for a dab of strawberry preserves.

Strawberry filling

  1. Fill small mixing bowl with water.
  2. Place sugar in separate small mixing bowl.
  3. Dip top of each cookie into water to moisten; dip moistened top of cookie into sugar.
  4. Place cookies, sugar side up, in 4x6 pattern on parchment-lined full sheet pan.
  5. Thaw 5-10 minutes and make thumbprint in center; fill with approx. 1 tsp strawberry filling.
  6. Bake as directed below.
