Spicy Breakfast Pinwheels

Pillsbury’s Best™ Puff Pastry Dough Sheets are topped with eggs, sausage, cheese and jalapeño, then rolled into spirals and sliced, baked and dolloped with salsa.

Scrambled eggs, soft, cooled

Breakfast sausage patties, cooked, diced

Pepper jack cheese, shredded

Chopped jalapeño peppers, canned, drained

Salsa con queso

  1. Thaw puff pastry sheets covered with parchment paper at room temperature for 15-30 minutes.
  2. Place scrambled eggs, sausage, cheese and jalapeños in a large mixing bowl; combine.
  3. Distribute approx. 1 lb 10 oz of the egg filling evenly over the surface of the dough.
  4. Roll up dough starting with long edge into tight spiral.
  5. Cut each roll into 8 slices, and place onto a parchment-lined sheet pan.
  6. Bake as directed below.
  7. Place #40 scoop of salsa con queso on top of baked pastry. Spread to cover; serve warm.
