Flaky, tender scones are the starting place for a cinnamony, almond-covered, bite-size cookie.

  1. Place scones on cutting board and cut each in half, creating 2 smaller triangles.
  2. Stand each piece upright and cut into 3 thin, equal slices; transfer to parchment-lined sheet pan in 6x4 pattern.
  3. Top evenly with sliced almonds and bake as directed below.
