Salted Chocolate Pretzel Bars

Simple and delicious, these snack bars combine Honey Cheerios™ cereal, chocolate chips and pretzel pieces with marshmallows and topped with Chocolate Fudge Icing sprinkled with sea salt.

Cereal Mixture

Marshmallow Mixture

Coarse sea salt

Cereal Mixture
  1. Spray large mixing bowl with cooking spray.
  2. Add cereal, chocolate chips and pretzel chunks; stir together and set aside.
Marshmallow Mixture
  1. Heat butter and marshmallows in heavy-bottom large saucepan over medium heat until mixture is melted and smooth, stirring constantly.
  2. Remove from heat; allow mixture to cool slightly.
Assembly
  1. Pour Marshmallow Mixture in bowl with Cereal Mixture; mix well to coat.
  2. Press mixture evenly into greased full size sheet pan (place a piece of parchment paper on top of mixture and press with rolling pin to assist).
Finishing
  1. Spread icing evenly over bars and sprinkle with sea salt.
  2. Cool at room temperature approx. 1 hour before portioning.

  • Gently crush pretzel sticks in a plastic bag using a rolling pin for easy clean-up.
