Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Drop Biscuits

Pumpkin and the comfort food spices that accompany it make a moist and hearty biscuit with a hint of sweetness.

Pumpkin puree, canned

Cloves, ground

Cinnamon, ground
1 Tbsp
Nutmeg, ground

Brown sugar, packed

Chocolate chips

  1. Toast chopped walnuts in oven set at 350°F for 5-7 minutes or until light brown. Cool.
  2. Mix water, pumpkin, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar in mixing bowl using rubber spatula until well blended.
  3. Add toasted walnuts, chocolate chips and biscuit mix.
  4. Mix using rubber spatula approx. 30 strokes or until soft dough forms. DO NOT OVERMIX.
  5. Deposit 3 oz (#12 scoop) of dough in 4 x 6 placement onto lightly greased or paper-lined full sheet pans.
  6. Sprinkle each biscuit with a pinch of coarse sugar. Press down slightly to shape, if desired.
  7. Bake as directed below.
