Pumpkin Beignets

In a twist on the New Orleans classic beignet treat, Gold Medal™ Buttermilk Biscuit Mix combines with pumpkin and spices, before it's fried and tossed in powdered sugar. Serve with a chocolate dip for more decadence.

Pumpkin puree, canned
1 lb 8.00 oz
3 cups
Pumpkin pie spice
5 Tbsp
Brown sugar, packed
4 oz
1/2 cup
Powdered sugar
12.75 oz

  1. Heat oil in fryer to 350°F.
  2. Mix water, biscuit mix, pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice and brown sugar in mixing bowl according to package directions until soft dough forms. DO NOT OVERMIX.
  3. Drop and submerge portioned beignet, using #40 scoop, in preheated oil.
  4. Fry 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Toss beignets in powdered sugar and serve warm.

  • Tip: Serve chocolate sauce as a dip if desired, note nutritional information will change.
