Orange Pecan Brunch Biscuits

Grated orange zest in both the batter and the icing makes drop biscuits delicately aromatic and absolutely irresistible.

Biscuits
  1. Toast chopped pecans in oven set at 350°F for 5-7 minutes or until light brown and allow to cool.
  2. Pour water into mixing bowl; add biscuit mix, sugar, orange zest and toasted pecans.
  3. Mix using rubber spatula approx. 30 strokes or until soft dough is formed.
  4. Deposit dough using #20 scoop, in 4 x 6 pattern on parchment-lined full sheet pan; bake as directed below and keep warm for icing.

Icing
