Orange Almond Sticky Buns

This orange and almond croissant roll is rich, crunchy and indulgent for a special treat of the day.

Light brown sugar, packed

Heavy cream

Orange marmalade

Sliced almonds, toasted

  1. Place croissant dough with egg wash side up on parchment-lined sheet pan, covered, and thaw either at room temp. 15-30 minutes or refrigerated overnight.
  2. Cut each croissant in half lengthwise and set aside.
  3. Whisk together brown sugar, heavy cream and marmalade in a small bowl.
  4. Generously spray muffin pan and add 1 Tbsp of brown sugar mixture into each well.
  5. Add 1 tsp toasted almonds into pan; top with thawed croissant, bending as needed to fit.
  6. Bake until croissant is golden brown and top is dry; cool in pan 2-3 minutes, then invert onto parchment-lined sheet pan.
  7. Scoop out any almonds and caramel left in pan and pour over top.
  8. Serve warm or cool completely before storing.
