Milk Chocolate Cake

A double dose of chocolate is just right for a basic chocolate cake that you can customize as a sheet cake, layer cake or cupcakes.

  1. Add 3 1/2 cups water and chocolate syrup to mixing bowl fitted with paddle attachment.
  2. Add cake mix and cocoa powder; mix on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  3. Pour remaining 3 1/2 cups water slowly into bowl while mixing on low speed until combined.
  4. Stop mixer, scrape bowl and paddle; mix an additional 2 minutes on low speed.
  5. Pour batter (see Alternate Pan Sizes info below) into parchment-lined full size sheet pan (pan extenders may be necessary).
  6. Bake as directed below and allow to cool completely before finishing as desired.
