Jalapeño Popper Savory Swirls

Jalapeño Poppers took a delicious twist, wrapped in a Pillsbury™ Puff Pastry Dough Sheet and sliced into swirls.

Prep
  1. Thaw puff pastry sheet on sprayed, parchment-lined sheet pan, covered, either 15-30 minutes at room temperature or refrigerated overnight.
  2. Whisk 1 egg and 2 Tbsp water in small bowl and brush edges of pastry with egg wash.
  3. Reserve remaining egg wash for Assembly.
Assembly
  1. Add whipped cream cheese to piping bag.
  2. Leaving a 1-inch strip open along one long edge add a 1-inch strip of cream cheese.
  3. Chop off rounded ends of jalapeños, place hollow side down over cream cheese.
  4. Add cheese and cooked bacon to empty part of pastry sheet, leaving 2-inches at the other end open.
  5. Roll towards open strip into a tight pinwheel; brush egg wash over puff pastry dough.
  6. Slice into 12 pieces and place flat side down into generously sprayed muffin tins.
  7. Brush edges with remaining egg wash and bake as directed below until dough is flaky and golden brown; serve warm.

  • To make slicing easier, wrap and freeze whole roll 15-20 minutes or refrigerate overnight.
  • Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with guacamole, salsa, seasoned sour cream or your favorite Mexican dipping sauce if desired. Note nutrition information may change.
