Fudge Nut Bar

Two convenient products, Gold Medal™ White Cake Mix and Gold Medal™ Chocolate Brownie Mix, create the mouthwatering layers of these fudgy cookie bars.

Crust and Topping

Crust and Topping
  1. Combine cake mix, water, butter and walnuts in a mixer bowl with a paddle attachment.
  2. Mix on low speed for 30 seconds; stop mixer, scrape bowl and paddle.
  3. Mix an additional 30 seconds on low speed or until crumbly dough forms; measure approx. 1 lb 14 oz of the dough and set aside for crumb topping.
  4. Press remaining dough into greased or parchment-lined full size sheet pan to form bottom crust (place a piece of parchment paper on top of dough, and press with a rolling pin to assist).
Fudge Filling
  1. Combine water and brownie mix in a mixer bowl with paddle attachment.
  2. Mix on low speed for 30 seconds; stop mixer, scrape bowl and paddle.
  3. Mix for an additional 30 seconds on low speed.
Assembly
  1. Deposit batter onto crust mixture and spread evenly.
  2. Sprinkle remaining crumb topping evenly over the top of the filling.
  3. Bake as directed below and allow to cool before slicing.
