Make creamy, caramely dulce de leche from sweetened condensed milk, and bake it into amazing brownie dessert bars.

Water, hot approx. 120°F

Dulce de Leche
  1. Place unopened cans sweetened condensed milk in large pot (or use 2 cans (14 oz each) dulce de leche instead and move to Batter step).
  2. Fill with water to cover cans and simmer 2-3 hours.
  3. Remove from heat and allow to cool 10 minutes before opening. Caution: Contents very hot.
Batter
  1. Make brownie batter as directed on package.
  2. Spread batter evenly into greased or parchment-lined full sheet pan.
  3. Place dollops of dulce de leche onto brownie mixture and swirl in with spatula.
  4. Bake as directed below and allow to cool before portioning.
