Cream Cheese Croissant Pull-Aparts

This versatile pull-apart bread uses croissants and a blend of brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon and cardamom, with a cream cheesy surprise in the center.

Prep
  1. Thaw croissant dough in a single layer on a parchment-lined sheet pan, covered either at room temp. 30-60 minutes until flexible or refrigerated overnight.
Cream Cheese Filling
  1. Whisk together cream cheese and sugar in medium bowl.
  2. Add egg yolk and vanilla then whisk until smooth; cover and refrigerate until needed.
Assembly
  1. Add brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon and cardamom in medium bowl; stir together.
  2. Cut each croissant into 8 equal pieces; toss into sugar mixture to coat.
  3. Place 4 dough pieces into well-greased jumbo muffin pan; add 1-#50 scoop Cream Cheese Filling.
  4. Add 4 additional dough pieces and sprinkle 1 tsp sugar mixture on top.
  5. Bake until golden brown and cool 3-5 minutes before serving.
