Cinnamon Twist Babka

Pillsbury™ Place & Bake™ Frozen Cinnamon Twists make this fun riff on a traditional Eastern European sweet bread.

Prep
  1. Thaw cinnamon twists, covered, either at room temperature 30 minutes until flexible or refrigerated overnight.
Assembly
  1. Untwist to a flat piece of dough, and place on cutting board; cut dough down center, lengthwise.
  2. Stack one half of dough on top of the other half and twist 3 times.
  3. Curl one end of the dough around itself to create a circular spiral shape, then tuck the other end of the dough under the spiral.
  4. Place each spiral into a greased or paper lined jumbo muffin pan; bake as directed until center is 185°F.

*Rotate pans baked in convection oven one-half turn (180°) after 9 minutes of baking.
Finishing
  1. Allow rolls to cool 5-10 minutes in the pan, then turn out onto cutting board or baking rack.
  2. Heat apricot glaze until thinned out; brush approx. 0.5 oz (1 Tbsp) lightly over top and allow to cool.
  3. Dust with 1 tsp powdered sugar; serve immediately.

  • Bake and glaze your babkas ahead of time, then dust with powdered sugar to order.
