Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies

If chocolate is good, chocolate-chocolate is better! A moist cookie made with applesauce has cocoa in the whole grain batter and mini chocolate chips in every mouthwatering bite.

Applesauce

Cocoa powder, unsweetened

1 cup
Mini chocolate chips
1 lb 8.00 oz
4 cups
  1. Combine butter and brown sugar together in mixer bowl with paddle attachment on medium speed for 3 minutes or until combined.
  2. Stop mixer, scrape bowl and paddle. Add eggs, applesauce and cocoa powder and mix on low speed for 2 1/2 minutes.
  3. Stop mixer, scrape bowl and paddle. Add muffin mix and chocolate chips and mix on low speed until well incorporated, approx. 1 minute on low speed.
  4. Deposit cookie dough using #40 scoop onto a greased or parchment-lined full sheet pan in a 4 x 6 pattern.
  5. Bake as directed below.
