Chocolate Chip Pecan Bars

Make a brown-sugary blondie better with chopped pecans and chocolate chips.

Water, cool approx. 72°F

Semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 lb 8.00 oz

Pecans, chopped

  1. Stir butter and brown sugar in mixer bowl, using paddle attachment, on medium speed 2 minutes.
  2. Add eggs and water; mix on medium speed 1 minute.
  3. Stop mixer, scrape bowl and paddle; add cake mix and mix on low speed 30 seconds.
  4. Stop mixer, scrape bowl and paddle; add chocolate chips and pecans.
  5. Mix 30 seconds on low speed until blended. DO NOT OVERMIX.
  6. Deposit batter into lightly sprayed or parchment-lined full sheet pan, spread evenly and bake as directed below.
