Chocolate Brownie Truffles

Turn a decadently rich brownie into a bite-size truffle by rolling the brownie into a ball and dipping it in melted chocolate.

Truffle Mixture

Semi-sweet chocolate chips

Truffle Mixture
  1. Heat unsweetened chocolate and butter in microwave until melted; stir to blend together. Set aside.
  2. Beat eggs thoroughly with whisk in medium mixing bowl.
  3. Gradually add 2 cups sugar to eggs, whisking continually.
  4. Add melted chocolate mixture and stir until well combined.
  5. Add brownie mix, salt and vanilla extract; stir just until fully incorporated.
  6. Deposit mixture onto greased half sheet pan; bake as directed below (brownies will be slightly underdone and very moist) and allow to cool.

*Rotate pans baked in convection oven one-half turn (180°) after 7 minutes of baking.
Finishing
  1. Cut brownies into 1x1-inch squares.
  2. Roll each square in your hands to form into approx. 1-inch balls.
  3. Heat chocolate chips in microwave until melted.
  4. Dip each brownie ball into chocolate and place on screen or cooling rack to set.

  • Try different coatings for variety, such as mixing 1 cup granulated sugar, 2 Tbsp instant coffee granules and 2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder.
