Chicken Dijon in Puff Pastry

A moist and perfectly seasoned chicken breast is nestled in a flaky puff pastry pocket.

Water, cool approx. 72°F

Prep
  1. Thaw puff pastry sheets, covered, until flexible; at room temp. 15-30 minutes or refrigerate overnight.
  2. Roll thawed sheets to 15x15-inch size; cut into 4 squares.
Sauce
  1. Stir together mustard, butter and parsley in mixing bowl until well combined; hold for assembly.
Assembly
  1. Place chicken piece in center of puff pastry square; top with 0.5 oz mustard sauce and 0.75 oz parmesan.
  2. Brush water on corners of pastry and join in center to cover chicken.
  3. Crimp pastry edges to seal; place seam side up on parchment-lined sheet pans.
  4. Beat together egg and water; brush tops of pastries with egg wash.
  5. Bake as directed below until golden brown and flaky; allow to cool 5 minutes and serve warm.
