Caramelized Onion Biscuits

Saute onions until they are sweet and caramelized, then stir into batter and bake for full-flavored and flaky biscuits.

Carmelized Onions

Italian seasoning

Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 lb 8.00 oz

Caramelized Onions
  1. Melt butter in a sauté pan over low-medium heat. Add onions.
  2. Sauté until caramelized. Remove from heat.
  3. Set aside and allow to cool.
Biscuits
  1. Pour water into mixing bowl. Add mix, seasoning, caramelized onions and cheese.
  2. Mix using a rubber spatula for approx. 30 strokes or until soft dough is formed. DO NOT OVERMIX.
  3. Deposit dough, using a #20 scoop, in a 4 x 6 patter onto 3 greased or paper-lined full sheet pans.
  4. Bake as directed below.
