Cantaloupe Smoothies

Simple and sweet smoothies combine just two ingredients -- cantaloupe and vanilla yogurt.

Cantaloupe chunks, fresh, chilled

  1. Place chilled cantaloupe in large capacity blender (or prepare in batches).
  2. Blend on high speed 1 minute; stop blender and stir with spatula.
  3. Continue to blend until smooth.
  4. Measure to verify that pureeing has resulted in 8 cups of fruit (for nutrition requirements if needed); puree additional fruit if necessary.
  5. Whisk puree and yogurt together in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  6. Portion into serving cups, and cover. Serve chilled. Smoothies may be refrigerated overnight.

  • Garnish with an additional slice of cantaloupe, if desired.
