Batter
  1. Pour water and beer into bow of a mixer fitted with a paddle attachment.
  2. Add brownie mix; mix on low speed for 30 seconds. Stop mixer, scrape bowl and paddle.
  3. Mix on low speed an additional 1 1/2 minutes. Deposit batter onto greased or parchment-lined full sheet pan.
  4. Bake and allow to cool completely.

*Rotate pans baked in convection oven one-half turn (180°) after 9 minutes of baking.
Coffee Cream Icing
  1. Combine coffee granules, water, and vanilla extract in a small bowl; stir and let stand to fully dissolve.
  2. Add butter to bowl of mixer fitted with paddle attachment; stir on medium speed for 1 minute.
  3. Stop mixer, scrape bowl and paddle. Add half of the powdered sugar to the butter; mix on low speed until fully combined.
  4. Repeat with remaining powdered sugar. When fully combined, stir an additional 2 minutes on medium.
  5. Add the coffee and heavy cream; mix on low speed until fully combined.
  6. Scrape bowl and paddle; mix on medium speed 3-4 minutes.
  7. Spread over completely cooled brownies.
