Biscuit Dogs

Crispy, flaky, and oh-so-satisfying: The hot dog you never knew you needed.

Hot dogs, approx. 6-inches long

Unsalted butter, melted
3 Tbsp
Sesame seeds

Prep
  1. Thaw biscuit dough, covered, either at room temperature 30-60 minutes until flexible or refrigerated overnight.
  2. Stretch thawed biscuits gently into a flat oval, about 7-inches long and 3-inches wide. 
Assembly
  1. Slice hot dogs in half lengthwise, not slicing all the way through, and lay them cut side down on a parchment-lined sheet pan.  
  2. Cover each butterflied hot dog with a flattened biscuit oval, pressing down around the edges to seal hot dog.  
  3. Brush dough with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  4. Bake until biscuits are golden brown; serve warm.

  • Use any of our frozen biscuit dough by cutting down hot dogs for smaller biscuits or adding more toppings to larger biscuits. Think sauteed onions, peppers, etc.
