Ale, honey and sharp cheddar combine for a trio of flavors in this hearty biscuit.

Gold Medal™ Buttermilk Biscuit Mix (11765)

Garlic powder
1 Tbsp
Sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

INGREDIENT

Unsalted butter, melted

Honey
3 oz
1/4 cup
Dough
Combine ale and honey in mixing bowl then add biscuit mix and garlic powder.
Stir approx. 30 strokes or until soft dough is formed; fold in cheddar cheese. DO NOT OVERMIX.
Divide dough equally between 2 well-greased half sheet pans; spread evenly to edges and precut in a 6x8 pattern with a greased bench knife.
Topping
Whisk together melted butter and honey; drizzle evenly over top of dough.
Bake as directed below or until golden brown; cut through warm biscuits and serve.

*Rotate pans baked in convection oven one-half turn (180°) after 7 minutes of baking.
Serve warm biscuits with whole grain mustard and grilled, sliced bratwurst or serve with a fried egg and a side of root vegetable hash with warm, spiced apples.
