Cranberries and walnuts mix with Gold Medal™ White Cake Mix to form the crust for mouthwatering, individual-portion rustic apple pies.

Dough
  1. Combine mix, flour, eggs, dried cranberries and walnuts in mixer bowl.
  2. Mix on low speed using a dough hook attachment until well-combined (approx. 2-3 minutes).
Assembly
  1. Scoop dough using a #12 scoop onto a lightly floured benchtop; flatten with floured hands and shape into 4-inch circles.
  2. Whisk together egg and water in a small bowl.
  3. Place a #16 scoop (3.5 oz) of pie filling in the center of dough circle; brush outer edge of dough with egg wash.
  4. Fold edges toward the center, leaving fruit visible.
  5. Brush dough surfaces with egg wash place on parchment-lined full sheet pan.
  6. Bake as directed below and allow to cool completely.

Finishing
  1. Melt icing in microwave in microwave-safe bowl until free-flowing.
  2. Using gloved hand, drizzle icing randomly over top of cooled crostadas.
