Apple Cranberry Cobbler

A comfort food classic is lusciously layered with an apple and cranberry layer, topped with a cinnamon and nutmeg streusel.

Streusel Topping

Cake Batter

Water, cool approx. 72°F

Cardamom, ground
1 Tbsp
Cinnamon, ground
1 Tbsp
Sliced apples, canned, drained

Streusel Topping
  1. Mix softened butter, 2 lb 8 oz cake mix and spices in mixer bowl using paddle attachment on medium speed until moist and crumbly, approx. 3 minutes.
  2. Set aside.
Batter
  1. Mix water, cardamom, cinnamon and 2 lb 8 oz cake mix in mixer bowl using paddle attachment on medium speed until batter is smooth and creamy, approx. 3 minutes.
  2. Fold apples and cranberries into cake batter on low speed 1 minute.
  3. Deposit 7 lb 2 oz cake batter into two 2-inch deep, well greased, half hotel pans.
  4. Sprinkle 1 1/2 lb streusel topping evenly over top of each pan and bake.
