Chef Gilles leads a team dedicated to inspiring commercial and non-commercial foodservice operators to delight their patrons.

Associate Culinary Manager Gilles Stassart brings a global perspective while leading a team of skilled chefs that focus on empowering a variety of foodservice professionals.

Just before coming to General Mills Foodservice in 2013, Chef Gilles was an executive chef for a large network of healthcare facilities with French food-management company, Sodexo. Additionally, Chef Gilles’ culinary journey has provided diverse and extensive experience that has included working in Michelin-recognized establishments in Belgium to prestigious country clubs and hotels in Minnesota.

Chef Gilles studied culinary arts and hotel/restaurant management in his native Belgim at l’ Ecole Hoteliere Provinciale de Namur (EHPN). Passionate about mentorship and nurturing the culinary skills of both industry professionals and the next generation of chefs, Chef Gilles is actively involved in the international culinary community, the American Culinary Federation, and the ProStart program.
