We recently had the opportunity to host the SNS Dietetic Practice Group's executive planning committee. They flew in from all over the country to spend the day at our headquarters. They spent most of the time in meetings doing their own business but The General Mills K12 team got to spend some time with them that morning.
Our team members who work in Labeling and Research & Development created a presentation for the group on the process involved when we develop new products for the K12 market. Â My part was coordinating a "Chopped-style" challenge in our Culinary Center.
Each of the DPG Chopped teams had their own General Mills person to help out with process. There were no losers in our K12 version of the challenge. Â Everyone knows that school foodservice people are collaborative bunches who are eager to share ideas and best practices with each other. We all had a good time getting to know each other a little better and left with lots of fun ideas and good memories.
