Turtle Trifles

This classic combination of chocolate, caramel, and pecans are a great dessert bar item or on-the-go offering!

Prep
  1. Remove plastic from frozen blondie brownie sheet, run a knife along the inner edge of the cardboard liner to release.
  2. Remove cardboard packaging and invert blondie brownie onto a cutting board, blondie side down.
  3. Remove the parchment liner on the bottom; flip blondie brownie onto a half sheet pan lined with greased parchment paper, blondie side up.
  4. Allow to thaw for 10 minutes, then cut into pieces approx. 1-inch x 1/2-inch pieces. 
Assembly
  1. Transfer whipped topping into a piping bag fitted with a large star tip.
  2. Place 1 oz blondie brownie pieces (approx. 1/4 cup) in the bottom of an 8 oz serving dish.
  3. Pipe 0.5 oz (approx. 2 Tbsp) of whipped topping on top of blondie brownie pieces, then sprinkle on 1 Tbsp of chopped pecans.
  4. Add another 1 oz blondie pieces (approx. 1/4 cup), and pipe an additional 1 oz (approx. 1/4 cup) of whipped topping on top.
  5. Top with 1 tsp dulce de leche and an additional 1 Tbsp of chopped pecans; serve cold.

  • Substitute peanuts for pecans for a Candy Bar Trifle.

  • Trifles are best enjoyed within 12 hours of preparation.
