Thaw cinnamon twirls, covered, either at room temp. 15-30 minutes until flexible or refrigerated overnight.
Add cream cheese and sugar to a mixer bowl fitted with a whisk attachment; mix on medium speed for 1 minute.
Stop mixer, scrape bowl and whisk; add the egg and mix on medium speed for 1-2 minutes until fully combined.
Stop mixer, scrape bowl and whisk; add heavy cream and matcha powder.
Whisk on medium speed for 2-3 minutes, until smooth and can hold medium peaks.
Transfer to a pastry bag fitted with a large circle tip.
Cut thawed, twirl dough in half widthwise; place on a greased and parchment-lined full sheet pan in a 3x4 pattern.
Press twirl dough to flatten to about 3-inch diameter; push thumbs into center to create an approx. 2-inch diameter well.
Pipe 2 Tbsp (1 oz) of Matcha Cream Cheese Filling in the well.
Bake until golden brown and baked through; cool completely.
