Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

How can you possibly improve a chocolate chip cookie? More chocolate! A devil's food cake mix is the way to start.

Brown sugar, packed

Eggs, large

Water, cool approx. 72°F

3/4 cup
Semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 lb 14.00 oz

  1. Stir butter and brown sugar in mixer bowl using paddle attachment on medium speed 2 minutes.
  2. Add eggs and water; mix on low speed 30 seconds.
  3. Add cake mix; mix on low speed 1 minute.
  4. Stop mixer, scrape bowl and paddle; add chocolate chips and mix on low speed just until incorporated, approx. 30 seconds.
  5. Deposit #30 scoop of dough in 4x6 pattern onto parchment-lined full sheet pans.
  6. Bake as directed below and allow to cool before serving.
