Creme de Menthe Brownies

Mint liqueur in the brownies and in the icing gives a double dose of deliciousness to dessert bars.

Green food coloring, if desired

Batter
  1. Pour water and peppermint liqueur into mixer bowl; add brownie mix.
  2. Mix with paddle attachment on low speed 30 seconds; stop mixer, scrape bowl and paddle.
  3. Add chocolate chips, and mix 30 seconds longer on low speed.
  4. Pour batter into greased full sheet pan; bake as directed below and allow to cool.

*Rotate pans baked in convection oven one-half turn (180°) after 14 minutes of baking.
Finishing
  1. Mix vanilla icing, extract and food color until smooth; heat until free flowing.
  2. Heat chocolate fudge icing until melted.
  3. Drizzle chocolate fudge icing over cooled brownies, then mint icing over top.
  4. Allow to set before portioning.
