Cheesy Chorizo Gravy and Biscuits

Biscuits and Gravy just got cheese-y! With Pillsbury™ Cornbread Biscuits, chorizo and cheddar cheese this will be your customer's new favorite version of a classic.

Chorizo, ground, cooked and drained

Cheddar cheese, shredded

Prep
  1. Bake biscuits according to package directions; keep warm.
Gravy
  1. Add gravy mix and 1 1/2 cups of water to a mixing bowl; whisk together until lumps are dissolved.
  2. Add remaining 4 1/2 cups water to a heavy saucepan; heat to a boiling.
  3. Whisk in dissolved gravy until well blended and sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat; stir in cooked chorizo and cheddar cheese and keep warm.
Assembly
  1. Split biscuits horizontally; place bottom half of biscuit (cut side up) on serving plate.
  2. Ladle approx. 4 oz (1/2 cup) of Gravy over biscuit; top with remaining biscuit half and serve immediately.
