Caprese Croissant Sandwich

Caprese flavors of fresh mozzarella, pesto and tomato inspired this sandwich on a Pillsbury Croissant Bun.

Pesto, prepared

Mozzarella cheese, fresh, sliced

Tomato slice, fresh

Arugula, fresh

  1. Split warmed croissant bun in half; spread 1 1/2 tsp pesto on each cut side.
  2. Toast on grill or under broiler until golden brown, approx. 1 minute.
  3. Place 1 slice of cheese on bottom piece and flash in broiler from approx. 1 minute to melt.
  4. Top with 1 tomato slice, 1/4 cup arugula and remaining croissant piece; serve immediately.

  • Serve as a Grab-and-Go by only placing mozzarella (unmelted) on the croissant, then keep tomato, arugula and pesto separate.
