Beer Battered Banana Fritters

Banana pieces are battered and fried into a crunchy, sweet treat.

  1. Prepare mix according to package directions, substituting beer for water.
  2. Slice bananas lengthwise, then cut into approximate 1-inch chunks.
  3. Place corn starch in mixing bowl, dip in banana chunks until coated then dip in batter; drop one at a time, into fryer basket and fry at 350°F until golden brown (approx. 45-60 seconds).
  4. Drain and place fritters onto paper towels briefly before serving.

  • Tip: If desired, dark roasted coffee can be substituted for the dark beer.
