BBQ Breakfast Crostadas

Pillsbury™ Southern Style Frozen Biscuits are the crust for lovely individual rustic tarts filled with pulled pork and egg.

BBQ pulled pork

  1. Thaw biscuit pucks, covered 20 minutes at room temperature or overnight in refrigerator.
  2. Dust work surface and rolling pin lightly with flour; roll out biscuits to 6-inch disks.
  3. Combine egg and water with whisk to make egg wash; brush edges of each biscuit disk.
  4. Place a #12 scoop (approx. 2.8 oz) of pulled pork onto the center of the dough.
  5. Press center of pulled pork with back of scoop to create a deep well to fit whole egg.
  6. Crack a whole egg in center of pulled pork.
  7. Fold edges of biscuit dough quickly in toward the center, overlapping as you go to create a crust and leaving most of the egg in the center exposed.
  8. Brush folded edges of each crostada with egg wash; top with coarse black pepper.

  • Tip: Turn biscuit several times during rolling process to retain round shape.
