Flour Lot Code Interpretation: How to Read Manufacturing Code Dates

The code date is printed on one gusset (side) of the bag. The production code date format for bakery flour products is as follows:

Format:

25NOV8 PC (other information)
25 = Day
NOV = Month of November
8 = Year, 2018
PC = Plant Code
Other information could include line number, shift, time

Month abbreviations:

January                 JAN
February              FEB
March                   MAR
April                      APR
May                       MAY
June                       JUN
July                         JUL
August                  AUG
September           SEP
October                OCT
November            NOV
December            DEC

Best Used By date is 1 year from the manufacturing date.
