In January 2005, the US government published the new Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2005. One of the new guidelines recommends that half the grains we eat be whole grains – that's at least 3 servings of whole grains a day. Every time kids eat is an opportunity to ensure they are getting the recommended amount and the energy they need to be engaged all day.
